I'm Baby J and I'm 25 weeks old!

Sharp chin - checked!
Pouting lips - checked!
Long fingers - checked!
High nose bridge - checked!

Her features scream she's our daughter and beautiful!

At 25 weeks, she's growing just like she should. Praise God! So precious are our monthly gynae visits where we get to catch a glimpse of her. Today, she was naughty and despite Dr C's nudging, simple refused to move that arm of hers so that we could get a better look. This was all she wanted to reveal as if saying, just wait for me to come out in about 100 days! Yap, 100 days, that's about the time from now to when our lives will change forever.

I still recall writing a blog post 100 days before our wedding, it has been beautiful since. Now 100 days before Baby J arrives, I know it'll be just as beautiful henceforth!

Uncle Piao's Sunglasses

Conversations with a 23 month old . . .

Sophie: UN...CLE PIAO! (very loudly without prompting with a big smile on seeing her uncle piao appear on skype)
Sophie: where uncle piao sunglasses? (the hubs wasn't wearing his glasses cos he just woke up)
Me & Hubs: (breaks up into laughter, decide to humour her so I took off my glasses and passed it to the hubs to wear)
Sophie: smiles (on seeing the hubs wear my glasses. I take my glasses back)
Sophie: uncle piao wear yi yi sunglasses
Me: (passes the hubs my glasses again)
Sophie: so silly (then breaks up in a big smile)

This little munch'kin can really brighten your day!

Kungfu Panda

Baby J is just about coming to 24 weeks and always happy to let Mama know that she's around and that she too wants to join in the lives of Dada and Mama!! And that's just what she has become - a huge part of our lives today! Our conversation revolves around her, we sing to her, I think twice before deciding what my next meal should be, making sure that its gonna be good for Baby J too, even strangers come up striking a conversation about my very round belly!

In the last few weeks, what has been really special were those kungfu panda kicks that she has been practicing. What started as little butterfly flutters have today become pretty powerful kungfu kicks!!! Not an easy feat for a barely 24 week old pumpkin. But I look forward to those kicks everyday. They're special moments I share with Baby J and only Mama has exclusive rights to feeling them. The hubs tries to steal a share of such moments in the evening by placing his ear to my tummy but Baby J has been cheeky ... always withdrawing her kicks when she knows Dada is here!

It has been a pretty amazing journey thus far and I'm enjoying every bit of this pregnancy. Yes, I can no longer see my toes and yes, I've long hung up my 4" stilettos, but the privilege of carrying this miracle of life in me is priceless and truly a gift from God. We can only pray that God will grant us the grace to embrace parenthood and bring up Baby J in a way that will honour and please Him.
