The Alphabet Game

With the 1st trimester and all the discomfort it brings behind us, I think we're finally a little more settled in with the idea that our lives are about to change forever!!

We've since shared our joy with family and most of our close friends and colleagues. Their prayers and support makes us feel loved! My boss was especially happy for us and I'm really glad he was more concern for me than stressing over who will cover me in my absence. All this, with a less-nauseating me generally made us feel better and more confident of this pregnancy.

I've ditched my usual online shopping websites for sites like Zulily and Totsy. The hub's usual geeks websites have been replaced by reviews of prams and cots. Conversations of whether I should get my red soles now revolve around whether we should name the little pumpkin A or J (for a girl) or J or Z(for a boy). Its a refreshing change. We're enjoying the journey!

So little pumpkin is due end October. Dr C has made a guess on little pumpkin's gender and I'm inclined to trust his experienced judgement. But I shan't spoil the fun for everyone so early so have fun guessing! Suggestions on names are more than welcome and yes, it can be any other letter of the alphabet!

Our New Season

And so it seems that by the grace of God, we have found our new season - season of our little pumpkin!

God's perfect timing in this and how He even made it possible is a testimony that deserves a post for itself.

For now, we just wanna share our joy through this post with the people we love!! Our little pumpkin is 13 weeks old today and we're finally into the 2nd trimester or what is suppose to be the best 3 months of the entire pregnancy.

In all fairness, the past 13 weeks haven't been too bad. Other than finding myself shunning my usual faves, read; ice-cream, chocolate, yakult ( i use to drink 2 bottles of this a day!) and fish, I think I didn't have it too rough. Little pumpkin was also rather considerate I must say and pretty much left me to get through work without much fuss. But this little bean sure knows a thing about punctuality cos at 6pm *everyday*, my nausea never fails to act up. Nothing tremendously unbearable but uncomfortably nonetheless. I know of women who have it a lot worst. Our God is good!

Little pumpkin is growing beautifully and for that I can't be more thankful to God. Hearing the heartbeat for the first time at 6 weeks has got to be the most amazing sound we have heard. From the 0.5cm fetus then to the 6.5cm complete with little toes and fingers it is today (look he can even give a salute!), we truly stand amaze at God's beautiful creation!

We are clearly excited about the journey ahead but also naturally a little unsure and apprehensive about this unfamiliar season we're entering. But we'll walk through this by faith, trusting in God who's with us all the way.
